Basic information on RegDat database
Regional statistics database (thereinafter RegDat) contains time series of indicators of economic and social-economic development in regions of the Slovak Republic. Regional data on different statistical domains is presented in form of tables in yearly time series. The RegDat database will be developed and gradually expanded. Data updating is realized by a time schedule in the shortest time after the official data release.

Presentation Technology
RegDat database is saved in IIS server environment and presented through PX-Web tools and predefined data blocks in form of PX files. PX-Web is the web applicationdesigned fordynamic statistical data presentation. Another web application PX-iMap is a part of it designed for the map presentations of statistics. Web sites are created dynamically on according to user selection of indicators. Sites are created and tested for the Microsoft Internet Expolorer versions 6, 7 and 8, Mozilla versions 1.7 and 3.0.9 and Opera 9.64 or for higher versions, with the resolution min. 1024x768 pixels and for 16 mill. coloured palette. It is not possible to reclaim the incorrect interpretation of html and asp sites by another kind of explorer.

It is necessary to refer to the Statistical Office of the SR as a source when using any data of the RegDat database in own works and documents.  Dissemination to other persons is conditioned by the agreement of the Statistical Office of the SR.
